10_October_2017_Child_Marriage_in_NepalThe Nepal Demographic and Health Survey 2011 states 11% women and men aged 20-24 got married by the age of 18, which is the 8th highest figure in the world.  The difference between what is legal and what is actually happening is an indication of how strongly entrenched traditional beliefs about marriage affect marital outcomes for this nation’s women and men.
